The package for up to 3 people includes 1 aluminum boat Arronet, 18 ft. with 70 hp Yamaha outboard, max. speed 30 knots, chart plotter echo sounder with the best fishing hotspots. The boats purchased in 2018 are extremely robust, seaworthy and equipped with VHF radio and 90 liter tank. For fishing, they are perfectly adapted for 3 anglers, life jackets are available for all sizes. Before the first day of fishing, there is of course a safety briefing on site. We have a total of 7 Arronet Alu boats for hire. All boats comply with national regulations and are equipped with the latest equipment.
General information about the property:
Welcome to the new Cape Marina complex, best deep-sea fishing and premium deep-sea fishing!
Our vacation apartment 'Barents Sea' is located on the upper floor of the Rorbu at the jetty with a separate entrance via an outside staircase. The living area is beautifully decorated and has a fantastic view of the sea. There is a kitchenette with hob, a seating area and a dining area. There are also two bedrooms, one of which is a single bedroom with a 90 cm bed, while the second bedroom has two single beds, each 90 cm wide. The apartment is generously sized for 3 people. There is a guest WC with washbasin in the apartment. The only disadvantage is that the 2nd WC and shower facilities are located on the first floor. This means that guests have to go down the outside stairs and into the ground floor to reach the private shower room. If there are other guests in our camp, you will bump into them from time to time. This is a small disadvantage if you have the shower room (just for you) on the lower floor, but there was no other structural solution.
In the outdoor area you will find balconies running around the building, various seating areas, a charcoal barbecue, seating areas with wooden benches and table outside with majestic sea views and the jetty. The filleting room, the drying room and the 16 m² freezer room in the same building (ground floor) are all well equipped. All guests can fillet and prepare their fish for freezing in this house. In the surrounding area you have a great view over the jetty of 'Skutnes' in Skarsvåg and above fantastic views: To the west: Skarsvåg and harbor (northernmost fishing village in the world). To the north: View of the Barents Sea with its rich fishing grounds. To the east: Risfjord - remote Arctic landscape and wildlife.
Between and around our cabins you can walk on a wooden deck with famous Alta tiles. Benches and seating are available throughout our property. You will always find shelter in the Cape Marina when the wind blows.
The name "Cape Marina" stands for a new generation of modern fishing tourism and is a newly built fishing camp in Skarsvåg, probably the northernmost fishing village in the world. The family-run facility was completed in the summer of 2018 and offers fishing and Nordic adventures of the highest quality. After more than 50 years of professional fishing in the rough Barents Sea, the head of the family, Kjell, decided to set up what is probably the best fishing camp near the famous landmark on the North Cape after his retirement. Fishing is Kjell's absolute passion and he would like to continue this tradition with his family. Congratulations on the new opening of this beautiful place.

The fishing at the North Cape differs considerably from other places in Norway due to its enormous abundance of fish.
Because here you will be surrounded by rich fish banks after a maximum of 10 minutes drive, sometimes with spectacular views of the North Cape landmark and further north to the magical horizon, where only the legendary North Pole is the next stop.

Deposit:
The rental deposit is 500 euros, this is to be paid directly on site when moving in and will be refunded to the tenant when the rental property is returned free of defects when moving out.
House-specific information:
Pets are not permitted. All houses and apartments are non-smoking properties. Children are welcome, a baby travel crib is available free of charge if required. Fish cleaning is to be done on the boat or in the slaughterhouse on the jetty. Gutting and scaling fish in the living areas is not permitted. Please dispose of fish waste at sea and not in the harbor basin.

Skarsvag is the ideal starting point for fishing within a short distance of some of the best fishing grounds in the Nordic countries. We ourselves were inspired and convinced by the incredible expanses of the Arctic landscape, the location and the beautiful accommodation during a visit.

Quaint little fishing villages like in the old days are hidden in the Nordic fjords, the unique birdlife around and on the world-famous bird cliff "Gjesværstappan" near Gjesvaer is world-famous. There is also breathtaking sea fishing for magnificent specimens such as large cod, redfish, haddock, turbot, halibut and more. In Skarsvag you will find fantastic and magnificent nature, organized bird safaris, fishing tours, catering and accommodation.

Dear guests, it is of course also possible to travel from Germany in your own vehicle. If you would like to travel to Northern Norway by car, we will be happy to help you choose the cheapest ferries (Colorline or Fjordline) and book them reliably on request.

If you prefer not to travel by car, we recommend flying with SAS or Norwegian from Germany. The destination airport is always Oslo. There are several direct daily flights from Germany to Oslo, or e.g. via Stockholm to Oslo and on to Alta, Lakselv or Honningsvåg. If you would like to book a flight, please contact a travel agency or book directly on the website of SAS, Wideroe or Norwegian. To be as independent as possible, we recommend that you pre-book a suitable rental car in Norway. From Alta it is only a 3-hour drive to your vacation destination. It is also possible to hire vehicles at the airport in Alta. You can find more information about this on the airlines websites. There are also rental vehicles at the airport in Lakselv.

Included: The package for up to 3 people includes the costs for boat rental (1 boat), mooring and inventory as described, also included is hull insurance according to Norwegian law with excess depending on boat type and insurance, as well as the necessary safety equipment and equipment according to Norwegian law.
Excluded and not included in the rental price: Insurance for occupants and accident cover, personal liability insurance, excess cover, consumables, fuel and lubricants. You can purchase fuel on site at local prices, which will be refilled by the operator.
Boating license:
For guests born before 01.01.1980, no license is required for motorboats of this class in Norway. For younger persons, a boating license for boats with more than 25 hp is mandatory.
Boat damage, boat insurance - hull insurance:
The boat is insured in accordance with the usual national hull insurance conditions. The deductible payable in the event of damage caused by the renter is NOK 15,000 and is payable to the boat owner in the event of a classic claim without exception. The hirer is obliged to pay a cash fee of NOK 5000 in the event of propeller damage. All guests and captains must sign a contract with the owner on site, after instruction, before going out to sea for the first time. This regulates claims for damages, some internal rules of conduct and a strict ban on alcohol on board.
