The package for up to 3 people includes 1 aluminum boat Arronet, 18 ft. with 70 HP Yamaha outboard motor, max. speed 30 knots, chart plotter depth sounder with the best fishing hotspots. The boats purchased in 2018 are extremely robust, seaworthy, and equipped with VHF radio and a 90 liter tank. They are perfectly suited for 3 anglers for fishing, life jackets are available for all sizes. Before the first day of fishing, there is of course a safety briefing on site. We have a total of 7 Arronet aluminum boats for rent. All boats comply with national regulations and are equipped with the latest equipment.
General information about the property:
Welcome to the new Cape Marina facility, the best deep sea fishing and premium deep sea fishing!
Our holiday apartment Barents Sea is located on the first floor of the Rorbu by the jetty and has a separate entrance via an external staircase. The living area is beautifully decorated and has a fantastic view of the sea. There is a kitchenette with a hotplate, a seating area and a dining area. There are also two bedrooms, one of which is a single bedroom with a 90 cm bed, and the 2-bed room has two single beds each 90 cm wide. The apartment is generously designed for 3 people. The apartment has a guest toilet with a washbasin. The only disadvantage is that the 2nd toilet and shower facilities are on the ground floor. This means that guests have to go down the external staircase and to the ground floor to reach the private shower room. If there are other guests in our camp, they will meet them from time to time. This is a small disadvantage if you have the shower room (just for you) on the lower floor, but there was no other structural solution.
Outside there are balconies running around the building, various seating groups, a charcoal grill, seating areas with wooden benches and outdoor tables with a majestic view of the sea and the jetty. The filleting room, the drying room and the 16 m² freezer house in the same building (ground floor) are all excellently equipped. In this house all guests can fillet their fish and prepare it for freezing. In the area you have a great view over the Skutnes jetty in Skarsvåg and fantastic views above: To the west: Skarsvåg and harbor (northernmost fishing village in the world). To the north: View of the Barents Sea with its rich fishing grounds. To the east: Risfjord - remote arctic landscape and wildlife.
Between and around our cabins you can walk on a wooden deck with famous Alta tiles. Benches and seating are available all over our grounds. In the Cape Marina you will always find shelter when it is windy.
The name Cape Marina stands for a new generation of modern fishing tourism and is a newly built fishing camp in Skarsvåg, probably the northernmost fishing village in the world. The family-run facility was completed in the summer of 2018 and offers fishing and Nordic adventures of the highest quality. After more than 50 years of professional fishing in the rough Barents Sea, the head of the family, Kjell, decided to build what is probably the best fishing camp near the famous landmark at the North Cape after his retirement. Fishing is Kjell's absolute passion, and he would like to continue this tradition with his family. We warmly congratulate you on the reopening of this beautiful place.

Experience the midnight sun in summer, the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) in autumn and spring, ice bathing, guided Northern Lights adventure hikes and much more.
Fishing at the North Cape differs considerably from other places in Norway due to its enormous abundance of fish.
Because here, after a maximum of 10 minutes' drive, you will be surrounded by rich fish banks, sometimes with spectacular views of the landmark of the North Cape and further north to the magical horizon, where the legendary North Pole is the next stop.

Deposit:
The rental deposit is 500 euros, which is to be paid on site upon moving in and will be refunded to the tenant upon moving out if the rental property is returned in good condition.
House-specific information:
Pets are not allowed. All houses and apartments are non-smoking properties. Children are very welcome, a baby travel cot is available free of charge if required. Fish cleaning must be done on the boat or in the slaughterhouse on the jetty. Gutting and scaling of fish in the living areas is not permitted. Fish waste must be disposed of at sea and not in the harbor basin.

Skarsvag is the ideal starting point for fishing, with a short distance to what are probably the best Nordic fishing grounds. We ourselves were inspired and convinced by the incredible expanse of the Arctic landscape, the location and the beautiful accommodation during a visit.
The owner family has been traditionally connected with fishing for ages and would like to share with you the history and life in the far north in a natural and peaceful environment.

Imagine fishing outside the North Cape landmark with the midnight sun in the background. This experience is hard to describe. It is truly an unforgettable highlight and one of the last nature adventures. Skarsvag is a small Nordic village, really at the end of the world in the northernmost part of Northern Norway, 223 KM north of Alta. The area around Skarsvag offers indescribably beautiful mountains and valleys, whether in summer or winter. Reindeer roam freely in Skarsvåg. Experience these large animals, because they really offer a good and rare photo motif. We love our view to the north. We say here: There is only one sea between Cape Marina and the North Pole! Exotic, isn't it!
Quaint little fishing villages like in the old days are hidden in the Nordic fjords, the unique bird life around and on the world-famous bird cliff "Gjesværstappan" near Gjesvaer is world famous. In addition, there is breathtaking sea fishing for magnificent specimens such as large cod, redfish, haddock, wolffish, halibut and the like. In Skarsvag you will find fantastic and magnificent nature, organized bird safaris, fishing tours, catering and overnight accommodation.
Would you like to order a packed lunch for your trips at sea? No problem, everything is possible. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to take part in a real Nordic festival, which takes place every now and then in the summer. The Norsemen are extremely hospitable and will certainly be happy to have a nice chat.
Petrol stations and other shopping facilities are located directly in Honnigsvag. Fuel for boats is provided on site at local prices. The North Cape, the famous metal ball at the northernmost point of Europe, is only 15 km away. In summer, thousands of reindeer roam the green areas and the surrounding area.
Travel options from Germany via Oslo to the North Cape:
Dear guests, of course it is also possible to travel from Germany with your own vehicle. If you would like to travel to Northern Norway with your vehicle, we will be happy to help you choose the cheapest ferries ( Colorline or Fjordline ) and book them for you if you wish.

What we recommend:
If you don't want to travel by car, we recommend flying with SAS or Norwegian from Germany. The initial destination airport is always Oslo. There are several direct flights from Germany to Oslo every day, or for example via Stockholm to Oslo and then on to Alta, Lakselv or Honningsvåg. If you would like to book a flight, please contact a travel agent or book directly on the SAS , Wideroe or Norwegian websites. To be as independent as possible, we recommend that you pre-order a suitable rental car in Norway. From Alta it is only a 3-hour drive to your holiday destination. You can also rent a car at the airport in Alta. You can find more information on the airlines' websites. There are also rental cars available at the airport in Lakselv.

Boat additional costs:
Included: The package for up to 3 people includes the costs for boat rental (1 boat), berth and inventory as described, also includes hull insurance according to Norwegian law with deductible depending on boat type and insurance, as well as the necessary safety features and equipment according to Norwegian law.
Exclusive and not included in the rental price: insurance for passengers and accident protection, personal liability insurance, excess coverage, consumables, fuel and lubricants. You can purchase fuel on site at local prices, and the operator will refill the tank.
boat license:
Guests born before January 1, 1980 do not need a license for motorboats of this class in Norway. For younger people, a boat license for boats with more than 25 HP is mandatory.
Boat damage, boat insurance - hull:
The boat is insured under the usual local conditions. The deductible (excess) for self-inflicted damage is NOK 15,000 and is always due to the boat owner in the case of a classic claim. The renter is obliged to pay a cash fee of NOK 5,000 in the event of propeller damage. All guests and captains must sign a contract with the owner on site after receiving instructions before they set sail for the first time. This regulates claims for damages, some internal rules of conduct and a strict ban on alcohol on board.
