"Speedrunner" is a large 25 ft. diesel semi-glider with depth sounder and chart plotter. The extremely sea-stable boat with self-draining deck and railing also has a front cabin. The technology with a good Volvo Turbo diesel engine gives the heavy and safe boat a powerful ride. All units have been converted for fishing with a rod. A filleting board and a fish container are on board, the boat is suitable for up to 5 anglers. Life jackets / aids are available for all sizes. You can buy tax-free diesel fuel in Farsund or Vanse. (Automatic filling station, only with EC or credit card and PIN). The boat is in the harbor in the Nordstranda complex.
Important: You will receive an on-site introduction to boating techniques and, if required, practical driving exercises. The rental period of the boat is tied to the rental period of the holiday home; the minimum rental period is generally 7 days.
When passing through the Helvikfjord under the bridge, the maximum speed is 5 knots. The water police are checking!

Boat additional costs:
Included are the costs for boat rental, berth and inventory as described, hull insurance with up to 1000 euros excess depending on boat type and insurance, the necessary safety features and equipment according to Norwegian law.
Exclusive and not included in the rental price: insurance for passengers and accident protection, personal liability insurance, excess coverage, consumables, fuel and lubricants.
Note: Boats consume significantly more fuel for uneconomical and very fast journeys.
Rental deposit in cash:
The rental deposit is 350 euros, which must be paid on site when taking over the boat and will be immediately refunded to the renter if the rental property is returned in good condition.
Boat insurance - hull:
The boat is usually covered by hull insurance. The excess in the event of damage is up to 1000 euros, depending on the boat. The amount of the excess can vary; this should be requested from the boat owner when taking over the boat and documented on the checklist. Personal items are not insured. The insurance is not liable for accidental damage suffered by people travelling on the rental property. The renter is liable for damage to and loss of the boat if the damage is not covered by the insurance. Damage also includes consequential damage. The landlord/owner can retain the deposit paid until the damage is repaired. The excess per claim is to be borne by the renter and may differ from the deposit. If the boat is returned without defects, the deposit will be refunded immediately. Any damage not covered by the deposit or insurance must be compensated for by the renter immediately before departure. The renter undertakes to report any damage, collisions, other unusual occurrences or complaints to the landlord/owner immediately.
boat license:
Guests born before January 1, 1980 do not need a license for motorboats of this class in Norway. For younger people, a boat license for boats with more than 25 HP is mandatory.
Binding rules of conduct - tenant's liability:
We expect the boat captain to refrain from drinking alcohol on board.
The renter is liable for damage caused by himself and also for all damage caused by other users of the boat. The renter and all other users use the boat at their own risk. The renter informs his crew in good time that they will take out appropriate insurance against damage events before the start of the trip. In addition, the boat operator must familiarize the crew with the boat technology and the contract conditions and ensure that all passengers wear life jackets on trips.
If the fish are cleaned on the boat or on a filleting table on the jetty, please dispose of the fish waste at sea and not in the harbor basin. Always cover fish waste (seagulls).
Territory restriction:
Trips are only permitted in the adjacent and suitable waters of the home port and near the coast.
A minimum distance of 150 meters must be maintained from fish farms or similar facilities. Failure to comply with maritime regulations may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement by the landlord/owner. Any claims by the tenant are then deemed to be forfeited.
Handover - Return:
The rental period of the boat is generally tied to the rental period of the booked holiday home.
Equipment and inventory will be handed over/taken over according to the checklist.
Location: Handover with driving instructions and return is at the berth.
Handover: after 16:00 h or after consultation with the owner
Return: by 10:00 am on the last rental day or by arrangement with the owner.
Eventual delays must be reported to the owner immediately by telephone.
Cleaning the boat:
The renter must carry out the thorough final cleaning of the boat himself. The renter returns the boat in the clean condition it was handed over to him by the landlord.
