Inside - Entrance area:
1 hallway with wardrobe and shoe cabinet,
1 bathroom with washbasin, shower and toilet, washing machine, dryer, 1 small bedroom with 2 single beds,
OG:
Open living, kitchen and dining area with small fitted kitchen, stove, extractor hood, microwave, coffee machine, refrigerator, sink etc., fully equipped.
Seating group in the living area, Wi-Fi, German satellite TV (international channels and nor. TV), stereo system / CD, convertible sofa bed, dining area, small wooden staircase to the open small loft with 2 sleeping places, 1 extra bed
Attention: The house is only suitable for 3-4 adults or three adults and 2 children, it is not wheelchair accessible. We recommend 3 people.
Outside:
Private, secluded courtyard at the house with seating, grill, new separate storage room with freezer. A small balcony, where smoking is of course permitted, adjoins the living room. Parking is possible in public parking spaces in front of the house or in the underground garage (fees apply). Please clean the fish on the boat.
Arrival and final cleaning:
Some guests prefer to leave Norway at night or very early in the morning. Since the owner cannot organize a check-out at night, in this case the guest must pre-order the final cleaning (cost 80 euros) or pay directly on site.
Deposit:
The deposit is 350 euros upon arrival, which must be paid on site immediately upon moving in.
Extra costs:
Important: In order to offset the drastically rising energy costs, we have to charge an additional 5 euros per night.
Charging e-bikes, hybrids or electric cars using household electricity is not permitted and is only permitted at approved charging stations.
Included: The costs for boat rental, accommodation, internet, electricity for normal household running and water are included in the price.
Exclusive and not included in the rental price: insurance for accident protection, personal liability insurance.
House-specific guidelines:
Pets are not allowed. To load and unload, drive your car directly in front of the house. There is a parking lot for the Fjellgaten house 100 meters from the property. Parking is subject to a fee (10 euros per week) or in the free parking spaces in the area. The owner will be happy to help on site. Bed linen must be brought with you.
Fishing in Flekkefjord, from Abelnes to Hidra
Fishing in the sea and the fjords:
From your location in the Flekkefjord and Abelnes region you have excellent opportunities for fishing for sea trout and sea fish, depending on the tides and the time of year.
The sea fish in this region are very diverse. The region's quiet fjord location offers many advantages, especially for anglers, diving groups and families with children who love fishing, from where you can reach the best fishing areas. With our good boat you can easily reach the most famous fishing grounds in southern Norway.
These include the Flekkefjord, the bubble bay near Fjellsa (reachable in just 10-15 minutes), as well as the Vollesfjord and Strandsfjord near Andabelöy, Eidsfjorden, the Stolsfjorden, the Hidrasund and the Fedafjord.
The wreck of the Gudrun, which sank outside the port in Abelnes during World War II, is a popular attraction for divers from all over the world in spring, summer and autumn. The shores off Grönnes in Flekkefjord offer good opportunities for mefo fishing and sea bass fishing. Other sea fish can also be caught from land here, depending on the tide. If you are interested in salmon or trout fishing, we recommend that you also visit the large freshwater lakes in the area and the rivers in Ana Sira or Kvinensdal (please note the closed seasons and the need for day permits).
If the weather is good, you can even explore the south coast of Hidras, the Lista Plateau and the Siragrunnen. Insider tips include the mussel bay in Vollesfjorden and the so-called "pensioners' bay" in the immediate vicinity of the house in Stolsfjorden.
The Siragrunnen and the fish-rich Lista plateau (also known as the football field because of the huge, sandy plateau, about 40-60 meters deep) can be reached by boat in good weather. However, these trips require careful seamanship and really good standing weather throughout the day.
It is important to remember that you can also fish in the open sea in the Abelnes region, which is one of the best fishing areas in southern Norway with an impressive variety of fish species and amazing sizes. It is therefore important that you plan and consider your trips carefully. Please check the wind and wave heights several times a day on the usual weather websites. Also pay attention to the recommendations of the owners and the locals.
An insider tip is a wreck on the Listafjorden near Lista Fyr at a depth of 67 metres, where impressive ling, sometimes also large cod and good pollack can be found.
On and around the pollack mountain in the Listafjorden at a depth of 70 meters, strong sea fish, especially pollack, are regularly caught, as our pictures clearly show. Ling, pollack and good cod can also be found directly south of the lighthouse, at a water depth of 45 to 80 meters, on the cliffs.
Fishing in Eidsfjord, near Cape Varnes and Stolsfjorden
The fishing area is directly in front of the Eidsfjord with its two small skerries in the middle of the fjord, where there are very good spots for pollock, cod and coalfish. The sandy bottom promises good catches of cod, ling and flatfish. Fishing in the fjord is possible every day. We have often fished in the Eidsfjorden and Stolsfjorden, also at the fjord entrances of the green cliffs with their sloping, steep edges and very great depths, in the Stolsfjorden opposite or in the direction of Cape Varnes with its well-known pollock spots. There, at Cape Varnes, please fish at a safe distance from the steep banks. There are plenty of pollock there between the underwater plants at a shallow depth. Do not go into the small bays and harbors, be careful of shallows.
In the Eidsfjorden itself there are always cod, coalfish, pollock, ling, mackerel in summer, and occasionally salmon and sea trout when trolling. Flounder and plaice like to be on sandy ground. This alternative is a good option when there is a northwest wind and you cannot go out. When there is an east wind, trips are almost always possible. Please remember that you are fishing here in the fjord just before the open sea, probably the best fishing area in southern Norway with a large variety of species and amazing fish sizes. Your trips should therefore be well planned and considered.

Leisure tips, activities - attractions
We recommend visiting the restaurants and pubs in Flekkefjord in the evening, such as the Grand Hotel or the Maritim Hotel, which offer excellent cuisine. There are also often live music and dance events at weekends, which can also be reached by boat during the day. These trips are prohibited after dark. In the shopping centers you will find everything you need to shop to your heart's content. In the harbor of Flekkefjord there is a boat filling station called "Groennes Marina" for boat diesel and gasoline. There is also a land shop and a new boat filling station in Abelnes, on Andabelöy. Here you can only pay by card with Visa or Mastercard with PIN. Other car filling stations and ATMs are easy to find in the city area.
The "white" town of Flekkefjord offers a varied pedestrian area with many shops, restaurants, pubs and dance bars as well as other attractions. There are always events and performances here, from open-air concerts to other events. The local diving club can arrange diving trips by prior arrangement with the board. At the port exit of Flekkefjord you will find the historic Grönnes fortress and the only fjord sandy beach with diving tower. In summer, you should definitely take a boat to the popular bathing and barbecue island of Torsoy, which is located opposite Fjellsa. Recommended arrival - ferries:
From Hirtshals (DK) to Kristiansand or Stavanger (N). We are happy to help you choose the cheapest ferry ( Colorline or Fjordline ) and can book it for you if you wish. Flekkefjord is halfway between Stavanger and Kristiansand. The distance to these cities is around 110 kilometers (journey time around 2 hours). The long-distance buses go directly to Flekkefjord from Kristiansand or Stavanger. From Flekkefjord there is another bus connection to the vicinity of your holiday property (the driver will stop if you wish).

After leaving the ferry/customs, follow the signs to Stavanger/Flekkefjord (E 39).
There are automatic toll booths on the route. Please log in to autopass.no and register your vehicle there. If you want to drive through the Autopass lanes without registering, you will later receive an invoice for the fees incurred. Leave the E39 at the Flekkefjord exit and drive straight through the roundabout towards the town center. When you come to the Flekkefjord area, there are two petrol stations on the left as you drive through the town, behind them are several supermarkets (Coop, Spar, Rema 1000, KIWI), which are open until 9 p.m. or 10 p.m. during the week. In Flekkefjord (town center, Str. 44, Trolldalen, Brogaten) drive over the small canal bridge, the canal connects the outer and inner harbors. After the canal bridge, take the first street on the right (Kirkegaten) and continue down the small alley to the right, right up to the inner harbor. Here, turn left down the last small street, drive into the narrow alley and continue about 100 meters to the Fjellgaten junction. The house is almost in the junction area. The owner will show you the parking options on site.
