Arrival and final cleaning:
Arrival: 3-8 p.m., departure until 11 a.m.
The final cleaning is included.

Deposit:
The deposit is 350 euros upon arrival, which must be paid on site immediately upon moving in.

Extra costs:
Important: In order to offset the drastically rising energy costs, we have to charge an additional 5 euros per day. These costs are added when the booking is made. Charging hybrid or electric cars using the house's electricity is not permitted and is only permitted at approved charging stations.
Included: The costs for boat rental, final cleaning, Internet WLAN (only if this is expressly offered for the property), accommodation, electricity for normal household management and water are included in the price.
Exclusive and not included in the rental price: insurance for passengers and accident protection, personal liability insurance, excess coverage, consumables. Firewood is not included in the rental price for properties with wood stoves and can be purchased at local prices if required.

Internet: Fast 4G Internet is available in the area (billed through your provider, note roaming charges abroad).

House-specific guidelines:
Pets are not allowed. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the property. In the winter months from November to the end of March, no boat is included in the price. To clarify, please note that the upper floor of the house is occupied by the friendly and helpful owners. This circumstance does not in any way affect your vacation.

Fishing tips for the Feda region, Kvinesdal on the Fedafjorden near Flekkefjord

In Feda near Kvinesdal there is a rich cultural offer and exciting activities all year round. The long Fedafjorden and the valley running inland, which is surrounded by high mountains, offer several striking sights.

The area around Feda, a small village on the Fedafjorden, offers good opportunities for ford and sea fishing. Fishing is possible here almost without exception in any weather, as the fjord is actually always sheltered from the wind. The most commonly caught fish here are pollock, mackerel, coalfish, cod, wrasse and other fish species. The most successful method of fishing is jigging. There are old maps in which the local fish have marked their secret fishing spots.

There are good hotspots for coalfish and pollock directly under the Fedafjord bridge and in front of the steep edges. Of course, the German-speaking house owner and enthusiastic recreational angler knows the good fishing spots in the fjord and will show you on the map where good cod and ling spots are.

In the clean Feda River, fishing for sea trout and salmon is only permitted in August, and only with the permission of the owner. Please ask about the season times. You may need a permit and the state fishing license! For the Kvina River, a fishing license with fishing permits for the various fishing zones must be purchased from the local post office in Kvinesdal. In almost all salmon rivers, a daily fee is charged during the season and only a limited number of day permits are issued. The house owner can provide further information.

Fishing is also prohibited outside of the season in the marked estuary of the Kvina and Feda rivers. In the harbor, it is always worth fishing for plaice and flounder. Now and again, you can also catch a good sea trout.

Of course, you can also go to the Eidsfjorden or Stolsfjorden at the fjord exit to the open sea, or the Lista plateau with its famous football field fishing spot.

The fishing area is directly in front of the Eidsfjorden with its two small skerries in the middle of the fjord, where there are very good spots for pollock, cod and coalfish. The sandy bottom promises good catches of cod, ling and flatfish. Fishing in the fjord is possible every day. We have often fished in Eidsfjorden, including at the fjord entrances of the green cliffs with their steep, sloping edges and very deep waters, in the opposite Stolsfjorden or in the direction of Cape Varnes with its famous pollock spots. There, at Cape Varnes, please fish at a safe distance from the steep banks. There are plenty of pollock there among the underwater plants at shallow depths. Do not go into the small bays and harbors, be careful of shallows.

In Eidsfjorden itself there is always cod, coalfish, pollock, ling, mackerel in summer, and occasionally salmon and sea trout when trolling. Flounder and plaice like to be on sandy bottoms. This alternative is a good option when there is a northwest wind if you cannot go out. When there is an east wind, trips are almost always possible. Please remember that you are fishing in the fjord just before the open sea, probably the best fishing area in southern Norway with a large variety of species and amazingly large fish. Therefore, your trips should be well planned and considered.

For your safety: The weather must be right for these trips and the owner must give permission to enter the fishing area. Good salmon catches are also reported annually from the nearby Kvina river in Kvinesdal. Fishing permits are available at the Kvinesdal sports shop.
Tip: If you want to go salmon fishing, visit the large freshwater lakes in the area, or the rivers in Ana Sira or Kvinensdal. (Please note the closed season, day tickets required). If you have any questions about fishing, we can of course also give you the best advice. You will receive sketches and GPS coordinates from us when you book.

In Feda itself there is a small village shop with a vending machine for everyday items
We recommend evening visits to the restaurants and pubs in Flekkefjord, not far from Feda and Kvinesdal. There are many restaurants on the quay that offer good food, and the Grand Hotell or the Maritim Hotell are long-established establishments. There are also often live music and dance events in the basement of the Grand Hotell at weekends. In the shopping centers you will find everything you need to shop to your heart's content. In the harbor of Flekkefjord there is a boat filling station called "Groennes Marina" for boat diesel and gasoline. There is also a country store and a new boat filling station in Abelnes, on Andabeloöy. Here you can only pay by card with Visa or Mastercard with PIN. In the Flekkefjord urban area, other car filling stations and ATMs are easy to find.

The "white Dutch town" of Flekkefjord offers a varied pedestrian zone with many shops, restaurants, pubs and dance bars as well as other attractions. There are always events and performances here, from open-air concerts to other events. At the local diving club you can organize diving trips after prior arrangement with the board. At the port exit of Flekkefjord you will find the historic Grönnes fortress and the only sandy fjord beach with a diving tower.
