General information about the property:
Our spacious holiday home Lista Maritim 2 is located directly in the first row, on the banks of the fish-rich Listafjorden, in the middle of the sea surf and the quiet harbor. The house was completed in 2020. Experience the sound of the surf up close, admire the fantastic, blood-red sunsets, experience roaring winter storms, or the quiet and mirror-smooth sea directly from the living room. On one of the most popular properties in Borhaug, the house was rented out for the first time by come2norway on July 1st, 2020. The terrace with sea view, a great kitchen, tasteful furnishings, 2 bathrooms with walk-in shower and much more are waiting for you in your dream property. The unobstructed view of the 10 meter nearby coast and in the background of the directly adjacent harbor with boat berth guarantees you brilliant holiday pleasure around the clock, which is second to none. The large panoramic windows face south, from which you can watch the calm, mirror-smooth sea up close, or, depending on the season, the violent storms and roaring surf. Relax, because the view and the unique location directly on the sea are a remarkable highlight of this property.
The beautifully designed semi-detached house, which is spread over 2 levels, will certainly meet your requirements. With a large, open living area and open kitchen with fridge-freezer, super-fast fiber optic Internet WiFi, German satellite TV and Smart TV, 5 bedrooms with a total of 8-9 beds, 2 bathrooms with shower and toilet, the holiday home is particularly suitable for larger families and nice fishing groups. On the ground floor there is a separate area for our guests with an exit to the harbor, as well as a laundry room and hallway area with a large freezer/chest for fish, plenty of space for your fishing equipment and fishing clothing.
The harbor with boat berth is directly behind the house. Next to the house there is an identical property, Lista Maritim 1, as well as no. 5 and 6, which we also rent out. Not far away you will also find a well-stocked supermarket with groceries and fresh baked goods, fishing equipment and almost everything you need for everyday life. We believe that here in Borhaug you can fish in what are probably the best areas in the south, and the fabulous facilities of the property are certainly unrivaled. We ourselves spend our holidays in Borhaug several times and at any time of the year and fish with great success on the offshore coast and on the plateaus (Lista plateau, soccer field, dinghy, Rauna, see our pictures).

Fishing in the sea and in the fjords from Borhaug via Farsund to Sigersvoll / Eidsfjorden . We are fishing specialists in Borhaug and the surrounding area. Here you will also find the best and most impressive fishing videos from our fishing friends Achim and Claus from the Bjoernevag, Farsund and Borhaug region over the last 10 years. Here you can find the fishing films from The Achim Videos "2014 - 2023" (link) on YouTube. After booking , you will receive a sketch from us for the best fishing spots in the offshore waters (Plateau Jölle in Listafjorden, known as a football field, and Plateau Rauna near the shipwrecks between Farsund and Borhaug). Excellent cod, pollock, coalfish and ling, lumpfish as well as smaller halibut of 10-20 kg and huge amounts of mackerel are regularly brought back from the offshore banks and plateaus. Even large halibut in the 80-kilo class have been caught. The fishing spots are littered with wrecks that sank before the lighthouse was built at the turn of the century. An insider tip is a wreck at Lista Fyr at a depth of 67 meters, where impressive ling, sometimes large cod and good pollock can be found. On and around the pollack mountain in the Listafjorden at a depth of 70 meters, strong sea fish, especially pollack, are regularly caught, as our pictures clearly demonstrate. Ling, pollack and good cod can also be found directly south of the lighthouse, at a water depth of 45 to 80 meters, on the breakaways. But: keep your boats away from the shore of the lighthouse. There are huge stones under the water surface in front of the shore, and a wave or strong swell would smash your boat on the underwater obstacles. The Rauna Plateau further east with its sandy trenches and elevations at a water depth of 117 meters is also known for its exceptional and very large cod, coalfish and ling. The trenches around the plateau are very deep and have already produced huge ling and beautiful halibut. In Borhaug's outer harbor, from the pier next to the harbor entrance to the sea, there are always plenty of flounder and plaice caught from land. This is a good alternative when the northwest wind is blowing and you cannot go out. It is particularly worth mentioning that the owners in this area take exemplary care of their guests. Don't worry, even on the large boats you will receive detailed instructions and driving practice until you are really confident in handling the watercraft. Please remember that you are fishing on the open sea, in one of the best fishing areas in southern Norway with a large variety of species and amazing fish sizes. Your trips out to sea should always be well planned and considered. Please check the wind and wave height several times a day on the online weather app yr.no . and don't risk your life for a fish. Your children would be happy if you came home safe and sound. Weather forecast Borhaug Listafjorden (click) Weather forecast Rauna near Farsund (click) Weather forecast Lista Fyr Lighthouse (click) weather forecast Eidsfjorden near Varnes (click Weather forecast Katland in front of Farsund Fishing in the Eidsfjord near Varnes The fishing area is directly in front of the Eidsfjord with its two small skerries in the middle of the fjord, where there are very good spots for pollock, cod and coalfish. The sandy bottom promises good catches of cod, ling and flatfish. Fishing in the fjord is possible every day. We have often fished in the Eidsfjord, also at the fjord entrances of the green cliffs with their sloping, steep edges and very great depths, in the opposite Stolsfjord or in the direction of Cape Varnes with its well-known pollock spots. There, at Cape Varnes, please fish at a safe distance from the steep banks. There are plenty of pollock there between the underwater plants at shallow depths. Do not go into the small bays and harbors, be careful of shallows. In the Eidsfjord itself there are always cod, coalfish, pollock, ling, mackerel in summer, and now and then salmon and sea trout when trolling. Flounder and plaice like to stand on sandy ground. This alternative is a good option when there is a northwest wind and you cannot go out. When the wind is from the east, trips are almost always possible. Please remember that you are fishing in the fjord just before the open sea, probably the best fishing area in southern Norway with a large variety of species and amazingly large fish. Therefore, your trips should be well planned and considered. Please check the wind and wave height several times a day on Windguru and yr.no Eidsfjorden (Link Click) Hobby anglers get their money's worth at Eisdfjorden. Lots of pollack, coalfish and cod in impressive sizes, plenty of mackerel and other sea fish are on the fishing plan. Would you like to catch edible crabs? The manager knows where you can catch them by hand. Eidsfjorden is known for its good water quality and abundance of fish. It is fascinating to see how the sea changes with the wind, sun and weather and how the play of light transforms the landscape. Norwegians call it the miniature version of Norway because all the country's typical cultural and natural elements come together here. Many believe that the Lista region will soon overtake the Lofoten. Norwegians love extreme challenges when hiking and doing sports and in winter they love extreme weather with snow and violent storms, which are a real natural spectacle. This is what the Lista region scores for.
