General information about the property:
In the middle of Fjord Norway, in the fjord world of probably the most beautiful region in Western Norway, Møre og Romsdal, lies our new addition:
Holiday home Rovde, named after the region of the same name, directly on the Rovdefjorden, close to the estuaries of many other well-known fjords and bays, such as the Dalsfjord. The landscape, rivers and lakes here offer you a unique natural spectacle with probably the cleanest and most fish-rich fjords between Alesund and Bergen. Discover the dreamlike and legendary Fjord Norway by boat fishing, canoeing, swimming, diving and hiking. The region is also a vacation paradise for children, with a bathing beach right next to the house. We think that the area around the house is wonderful for families with children or for nice fishing groups.
In summer in particular, the terrace facing west-northwest invites you to socialize in the evenings, because in June/July the sun shines until midnight and is reflected on the surface of the fjord.
The house with approx. 120 m² of living space is spread over 2 floors and was renovated and modernly furnished in 2019. The distance from the house to the water is approx. 30 meters. In addition to the fully equipped, new kitchen, you will find a beautiful dining area with panoramic windows, as well as a cozy couch corner with a large flat-screen TV (50 inches), on which almost all German channels are available. The house scores points with its 4 bedrooms and the full-size, new beds, as each bedroom has been freshly renovated and equipped with modern furniture. The comfortable beds feature comfortable mattresses. The beds in the double rooms can also be separated so that they can also be used as single beds (please let us know when booking!) The bathroom has a shower, WC, washbasin, washing machine and dryer.
The kitchen is equipped with a large refrigerator, a microwave, a stove with induction hob, oven and extractor hood. There is also a large dishwasher.
The boat fleet is located at a small marina just 900 meters from the vacation home. A 24-hour petrol station with card payment, as well as shopping facilities are located just 100 meters from the house.

Fishing:
For sea anglers, Rovde could hardly be in a better strategic location. In this very diverse fishing area between Ålesund and the West Cape, almost the entire range of species of the North Atlantic can be fished. The owner is also happy to arrange an inexpensive deep-sea fishing experience, as the partners there have good fishing boats and will take you to the most sought-after spots off the coast of Western Norway. You are sure to catch your dream fish here. A large filleting facility is available on site for the professional care of the often plentiful catches. There is also a large freezer in the house. In the fjord you will find very sheltered locations, so that lost days hardly ever occur. It doesn't matter whether you go after the big schooling fish or the big ling in the Rovdefjord or visit the fish-rich hotspots in the even more sheltered Syvdefjord and Voldsfjord. You will always find the right fishing spot in any wind and weather. Due to the windy location of the Rovdefjord, you can also take the boat further out into open water. Large coalfish and cod await there.
The Rovdefjord is not a typical fjord, but a sound. Open on both sides, fresh, nutrient-rich water always flows through the Rovdefjord and constantly attracts schools of fish. The result is a variety of fish that is exceptional even for central Norway and impresses with good catch sizes.
Many halibut are also caught in the Rovdefjord due to its supply of forage fish. You get the hottest hotspot for this locally. Another advantage of this region is the enormous diversity of species that awaits our amateur anglers here. Around Yksnøya, for example, you will find one of the best areas for large pollack in the whole of Western Norway. Here, the fine spin fisherman in particular gets his money's worth. But you can also regularly catch large pollack and coalfish in the Hallefjord and Rovdefjord using the speedpilk method. Fishing fun is guaranteed here! Even the rather rare anglerfish can be hooked here from time to time.
There are several really good spots for large cod along the edges between Larsnes and further east along the north coast of the Rovdefjord. This predator hunts its prey at depths of 50 to 200 meters, as large quantities of forage fish are repeatedly pushed into the Rovdefjord by the tides.
Deep-sea anglers get their money's worth at the edges of the deep plateau around the arms of the Voldsfjord (also Voldafjord). Here you can regularly catch large ling, especially with natural bait. Tusk, large coalfish and redfish round off the ensemble.
We think: For sea anglers and nature lovers, the great location of the house offers the best opportunities near very fish-rich fishing grounds. The fishing grounds are right on the doorstep, very close to or in the middle of several sounds and fjord estuaries. The fish is in the fjord here! The fish species found in this region, such as halibut, turbot, saithe, redfish, haddock, ling, tusk, cod, salmon, trout and co. are all of impressive size. Even if you like fishing for salmon and trout, you should definitely try your luck.
Business activities
Rovde is a small part of the municipality of Vanylen in western Norway's Møre og Romsdal region. The geographical location makes this part of Fjord Norway very popular for many different activities. There are many possibilities for leisure activities. The landlord will provide you with excursion tips and hiking maps on site. The realm of the fjords offers spectacular natural wonders, mountains and peaks, sounds and fjord mouths, plenty of sea and quiet bays. You will travel by vehicle along a varied coastline, around fjord arms, over bridges and along the foot of picturesque peaks. The natural experiences here will take your breath away. You will hardly find a comparable natural environment in Norway. Observe wild animals such as moose, otters, native bird species - even golden eagles and sea eagles.
Mountain hikes or short excursions through the surrounding area will delight any connoisseur of Norway. Excursions on the regular ferries and speedboats through the beautiful island landscape of the fjords to the sights in the area or to the larger towns are definitely worthwhile and will enrich your vacation.
