General information about the property:
In the middle of Fjord Norway, in the fjord world of what is probably the most beautiful region in Western Norway, Møre og Romsdal, lies our new addition:
Holiday home Rovde, named after the region of the same name, directly on the Rovdefjorden, close to the mouths of many other well-known fjords and bays, such as the Dalsfjord. The landscape, rivers and lakes offer you a unique natural spectacle with what are probably the cleanest and most fish-rich fjords between Alesund and Bergen. Discover the beautiful and legendary Fjord Norway while boat fishing, canoeing, swimming, diving and hiking. The region is also a holiday paradise for children, with a beach right next to the house. We think that the area around the house is wonderfully suitable for families with children, or for nice fishing groups.
Especially in summer, the terrace facing west-northwest is ideal for a sociable evening get-together, as in June/July the sun shines until midnight and is reflected on the surface of the fjord.
The house with around 120 m² of living space extends over 2 floors and was renovated and modernly furnished in 2019. The distance from the house to the water is about 30 meters. In addition to the fully equipped, new kitchen, you will find a beautiful dining area with a panoramic window, as well as a cozy couch corner with a large flat screen TV (50 inches), which has almost all German channels. The house scores with 4 bedrooms and full, new beds, because each bedroom is freshly renovated and equipped with modern furniture. The comfortable beds score with comfortable mattresses, among other things. The beds in the double rooms can also be separated so that they can also be used as single beds (be sure to let us know when making your reservation!) The bathroom has a shower, toilet, sink, washing machine and dryer.
The kitchen is equipped with a large refrigerator, a microwave, a stove with induction hob, an oven and an extractor hood. There is also a large dishwasher.
The boat fleet is located at a small marina, just 900 meters away from the holiday home. A 24-hour gas station with card payment and shops are just 100 meters from the house.

The fish must be cleaned on the boat. Gutting and scaling the fish in or around the house is not permitted. The newly installed large filleting area at the house may only be used for the final filleting of the fish. Fish waste must be disposed of at sea and not in the harbor basin.
Fishing:
For sea anglers, Rovde could hardly be better strategically located. In this very diverse fishing area between Ålesund and the West Cape, almost the entire range of species in the North Atlantic can be fished. The owner is also happy to arrange a cost-effective deep-sea fishing experience, as the partners there have good fishing boats and will take you to the most sought-after spots off the coast of western Norway. You are sure to catch your dream fish here. A large filleting facility is available on site for the professional care of the often plentiful catches. There is also a large freezer in the house. The fjord is very sheltered, so that days off work are almost never an issue. It doesn't matter whether you are chasing large schools of fish or large ling in the Rovdefjord or visiting the fish-rich hotspots in the even more sheltered Syvdefjord and Voldsfjord. You will always find the right fishing spot whatever the weather. Due to the wind-favorable location of the Rovdefjord, you can also travel further by boat towards the open water, where large coalfish and cod await.
The Rovdefjord is not a typical fjord, but a sound. Open on both sides, fresh, nutrient-rich water always flows through the Rovdefjord and constantly attracts schools of fish. The result is a fish diversity that is unusual even for central Norway, and impressive in terms of good catch sizes.
A lot of halibut is also caught in the Rovdefjord because of the abundance of forage fish. You will find the hottest spot for this right here. Another advantage of this region is the enormous variety of species that awaits our hobby anglers here. Around Yksnøya, for example, you will find one of the best areas for large pollock in all of Western Norway. This is where the fine spin fisherman will get his money's worth. But the speed pilk method can also be used to regularly catch large pollock and coalfish in the Hallefjord and Rovdefjord. Fishing fun is guaranteed here! Even the rather rare monkfish is occasionally caught here.
There are several really good spots for big cod on the edges between Larsnes and further east on the north coast of the Rovdefjord. This predator hunts its prey at depths of 50 to 200, as the tides keep pushing large quantities of forage fish into the Rovdefjord.
Deep sea anglers get their money's worth on the edges of the deep plateau around the arms of the Voldsfjord (also known as the Voldafjord). Here, large ling can be caught regularly, particularly with natural bait. Tusk, coalfish and redfish round off the ensemble.
We think : For sea anglers and nature lovers, the great location of the house offers the best opportunities near fishing grounds with lots of fish. The fishing areas are right on the doorstep, very close to or in the middle of several sounds and fjord mouths. The fish are in the fjord here! The fish species found in this region, such as halibut, wolffish, pollock, redfish, haddock, ling, tusk, cod, salmon, trout and the like, are of impressive size. Even if you like fishing for salmon and trout, you should definitely try your luck.
Activities
Rovde is a small district of the municipality of Vanylen in western Norway, in the Møre og Romsdal region. The geographical location makes this part of Fjord Norway very popular for many different activities. There are many opportunities for leisure activities. The landlord will give you local excursion tips and hiking maps. The kingdom of the fjords offers spectacular natural wonders, mountains and peaks, sounds and fjord mouths, lots of sea and quiet bays. By vehicle you will travel along a varied coastline, circle around fjord arms, cross bridges and walk along the foot of picturesque peaks. The nature experiences here will take your breath away. You will hardly find any comparable nature in Norway. Observe wild animals such as moose, otters, native bird species - even golden and sea eagles.
Mountain hikes or short excursions through the surrounding area will delight any Norway connoisseur. Trips on the regularly scheduled ferries and speedboats through the beautiful island landscape of the fjords to the sights in the area or to the larger towns are definitely worthwhile and will enrich your vacation.
